Artist Michael Townsend did the unthinkable. He rallied his artist collective friends and built a 750-square foot apartment in The Providence Place Mall in Providence, RI and lived in it off and on for four years! The tiny apartment was built in a nondescript portion of the mall parking garage. It had everything but the kitchen sink.
And they would've gotten away with it too, if it hadn't been for those dang kids. Someone tipped off mall security, and now Townsend is now facing probation for trespassing. Wonder where he'll build again? Click the picture to see his site with hours of mall apartment video.
